ANNUAL GAY ASSOCIATED YOUTH BRUNCH ON MAY 18, 2008
(Palm Springs, CA)—April 7, 2008—The valley’s most popular annual brunch benefiting Gay Associated Youth (G.A.Y.) will take place at 11 a.m. on Sunday May 18, 2008 at Le Vallauris in Palm Springs. The beloved yearly event features cocktails, fine food, a silent auction, and entertainment amongst a garden atmosphere. All proceeds from the $200 ticket price go directly to G.A.Y. the organization in our valley that provides a safe place and support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (GLBTQ) youth and their allies through the provision of guidance, advocacy and resources.

FRIENDS EVENTS THIS WEEK FEBRUARY 15th

Youth are coming out at an earlier age and the stresses of society can simply be overwhelming. They’re also dealing with the reality of AIDS as the percentage of youth contracting HIV is on a steady rise. With these compounding pressures,
it’s no wonder that suicide is the leading cause of death among gay youth.

We Walked the Walk
On October 27th, a group of Gay Associated Youth members led a community wide brigade of youth from a variety of Coachella Valley schools in the 20th Anniversary Desert AIDS Walk to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS!
